The Theta Kappa chapter of Alpha Phi Omega was originally chartered in 1949, three years after the formation of Binghamton University (which was originally Triple Cities College) and rechartered at Binghamton University in 2000 with the ultimate goal of bringing together a group of people who cared deeply about doing good.
Alpha Phi Omega is a member of the Binghamton University Professional Fraternity Council whose principle goal is to help foster and facilitate connections between students of a similar major and/or career path. The PFC is made up of 8 fraternities and sororities. Alpha Phi Omega is the only community service fraternity on campus.
